get-in-my-tardis: They make youths in England look a disgrace, and the majority of us are the complete opposite. (via helonzyz)
These pictures of the rioting in England have been shown all over the world. On behalf of Tumblr teens from England, and the majority of the rest of us, I need to state that we are not all greasy-haired, tracksuit wearing, hooded, aggressive lowlifes. These people you see on the news are known as ‘Chavs’.

Found this on my friends tumblr~ <3
So I have been given the task to analyze the website “www.natl.tv”
So my first impression is that it’s a contemporary design and layout, its clean and simple, making it easy to navigate through the pages and view the content. The simplicity and use of neutral colour makes it easy on the eyes. When the pointer is hovered over a heading, it changes colour, for example: bright blue emphasizing the background and style.
Clicking through the menu’s I came across a page that seemed to promote a current vocalist, it included a small video window, there are also a few options underneath that allow you to interact. Interactivity is always a positive feature in a website, it helps the user become more involved with the website.
There are only a few negative points about this website. When I was first directed to the website I only knew that it was about ‘National Television’. Other than that I had no other indicator what the website was all about. Even when I was exploring the site I still found it a little confusing as to what I was looking at. I saw promotional material so I had to assume that the sites purpose is mainly for some kind of advertising. Looking into the website further I clicked the logo (clicking the logo button was something of the off chance it was not made clear by the website that it was a button at all,) another window opened and brought me to ‘itunes’ displaying the studios profile, a podcast list and a description.
“National Television is a design and animation studio based on creative collaboration, and kept intact by a sense of humor and desire to work with good people on good projects.”
After reading the profile, the website made sense. It was promoting the studio and the collaborations, and the people and companies they had worked with. It explains the quirky and contemporary style and design in the layout and the images it uses; they are quirky and modern; it adds a sense of fun and excitement.
So returning to the sites home page, I clicked ‘INTERNAL’ and a blog appeared, letting me know some of the latest news that was happening within ‘National Television’. I thought this was great feature; it made me feel personally involved with the people who work within the studio. Looking at the website now knowing what it was about I felt refreshed. I could look at it now and understand what was going on.
I just find it a pity that the home page or even the info page lacked the basic information, and that I learnt about the studio through a redirected link. I think that they should make it clearer to a newcomer about the studio.
Overall the navigation through the site is quite easy with a few complications. The text is legible; the images that are used have a similar style to the layout which makes the website flow more. The design of the website is good, it has a simple contemporary style. However some basic information is lacking therefore its hard to understand what it is your looking at.
